Just wondering what you prefer and why? Absolutely LOVE the look of a nice coloured paper backdrop with graduated fall off etc....

I have often wondered why fabrics, even though the same colour, don't have that clean contemporary look, or that fall off with the light...

there will always be some weave or something in a fabric, it's never perfectly flat.

Oh, and you forgot vinyl ;) best of all worlds apart from weight ;)

I like grey paper, espesh with a fairly high key shot, maybe a grid on the bg and a bit of desaturation. Very fashionable at present and I think just lovely

Really though? How would a nice dark gray paper roll compare to the same colour in vinyl? Would the reflective properties of vinyl not be problematic?

muslin just reminds me of baby sick lol

prefer paper but it does get damaged quite easy

hmm, true I guess... I love the look of dark grey too, have banned myself from looking at grey paper / vinyl rolls cos I know I'll end up ordering one >_>

I'd imagine that that would depend on the vinyl used... my white vinyl is very very matte, I would've thought it's similar to paper in terms of reflectiveness (not that it matters on white...) :/

very interesting point though...I did stumble across somewhere selling grey vinyl pretty reasonably the other day *slaps wrist* >_>

Picking up 2.72M Storm Grey tomorrow and a deep red too, but I can only get the red in 1.35M wide, ****ing me off as its for an engagement studio shoot and I want wider (but have no time)
