Afternoon All,

After months of do I don't I, I've finally ordered and taken delivery of a Canon Pro 100

So now I'm looking a papers I've been pointed in the direction of Permajets Smooth Gloss 280 and FB Gold Silk 315.

But are there others I the same price range (or cheaper) that I should be looking at?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Mark

May I ask why wouldn't you look at the canon papers, as they have the profiles already done..?

I'm toying with the idea for one myself.. How is it.?

I hadn't thought of canon

I haven't set it up yet as I need to make room it's a big beasty. But I have been recommended it by several people in the camera club who produce lovely prints so I'm hoping for good things

Do permajet do sample packs with 2 or 3 sheets of different papers? I know Fotospeed do, it's a great way to test different papers without having to buy a whole box of 25:) Plus there are often profiles available to download from the wesbite as well!

Yep they do a couple boxes of different samples, they all have downloadable profiles and will make a custome profile up for you if you post a sample print off to them. Ive got the canon pro 100 too and its lovely :) Seems to eat through black ink though!

I currently use an older iX4000 but have a 100Pro waiting for the old one's inks to run out. I get good results from Canon and Ilford Galerie papers on the iX and used to on its predecessor here, an even older s820 (A4).
