Hi,

Just wondered if anyoine had cut down a roll of paper background and how easy it was ( and how did you do it?) I am looking at a 2.7m roll from Castlehill Crafts but can only fit about 2.3 m in the room I use so will need to cut it down to fit.

Cheers

Nick

Yes Nick, i have cut several down, you will need a very fine hacksaw blade, DO NOT unroll the paper background first, when you purchase it, it will be tightly rolled, and taped up, leave it like that, then just measure out the length you want, put the roll on something solid, so it won't move, if you use a vice, be sure to put something thick (like a towel) around where the vice clamps fit, then proceed to cut with the hacksaw, with very fine blade attached, i actually used an oscillating saw, and that was fine too, then if you want too, just rub the cut end down with superfine sand paper, i never did myself, and it was fine, no rough edges noticeable once rolled out. Hope that helps, if you need to know more let me know :)

I've done this as well - works fine....

Also give the off cut to a local primary school or nursery - they love that sort of thing !
