:help:

ive been toying around with panos and have been quite pleased with the results. although, im having a problem....

here's how i do it...

1) take shots
2)photomerge in cs3
3)wait a long time...
4) once merged, i have to crop BUT, when i crop the image, its almost as if when i click and drag, its restricted and i can't get all of the image that i want in the shot.
5)once im "happy" with the crop, i go ahead, toy around with curves and levels, etc.
6)File->save as

this is where i can not save it as jpg. on top of that, the file size is just MASSIVE!!, roughly 800mb :bang:

but for some reason i can upload the final image onto facebook, but i am unable to upload it onto my website?

please pano gods, help me!:'(

First of all before you crop, hit the clear button on the top toolbar (with the crop tool selected) that clears any crop preset.
Your file size is large because you have a lot of layers, if you go to layer flatten it'l come down a lot, you'll probably get the jpeg option then as well, if not check your in 8 bit not 16 (edit/mode) but be aware once you flatten you loose the ability to ajust the individual sections and their masks. I must admit, I have used the photo merge option in CS4 a few times, and never really liked the results.

I mostly use Panorama Maker, I am testing with TIF files, but it takes its sweet *** time.

Here is a set of my panoramas all done the above tool.

thanks wayne, i will give that a shot.

dont mean to hijack
but i use photomerge through photoshop cs3 on a mac
and was wondering if there was any alternative that people could reccomend (for mac)

Nikonian, how much memory is in your rig? I use 4gb, and at times I could still do with more ram! I'm not familiar with the software you are using but it sounds like it's trying to crop to a constrained aspect ratio?

overthere, I use Hugin Available on Win, Mac and Linux.
