A few nights ago the local water company gave us notice that they were turning the water off overnight between 10pm and 6am
for essential maintenance, shouldn't be a major problem should it
Seems one of my neighbours decided they need to fill the bath up in case they needed to flush the loo
in the night, yes we do have water storage tanks.
What happens.........................................the pressure of the water overnight causes a leak and floods the downstairs flat
Some people do panic over nothing, last time I heard of this was during the great storms in the 80s when we had
no electric for 10 days and there was talk of water going too, my very elderly neighbour did this every night till I pointed
that she was in fact wasting water that was already running short
