My mother-in-laws TZ70 has developed a fault with the lens retraction mechanism. Does anyone have any experience with Panasonic repairs, either direct or via an independent person? Any advice would be gratefully received.

These people seem to the authorised repairers...

I'd be interested to know how much they quote you. I use a TZ70 as my default pocket camera.

Not the best.

My partners TZ60 was sent back twice. First for a dead screen (repaired) and the second time for a focusing issue. The one side of every image was out of focus so it looked like a focusing movement fault. Written off at less than a year old.

Mt TZ 200 was sent back a week after purchase for a dead screen and I had a refund for that.

All told we had £700 refunded to us. I bought her a Canon compact, myself a TZ90 (why? but so far it's been ok) and a security camera system :)
