Hi all,

Finally decided on what camera I want and have ordered the Panasonic Lumix GX800/GX850 with 13-32mm zoom lens as well as the 20mm 1.7 pancake lens. Was this a good choice in comparison to the Olympus PEN EPL8 (Which was about £150 more)? Also how will this camera compare to it's more expensive brother the GX85? From reading reviews I saw that the GX85 had a lot more features plus a EVF but I wasn't sure how/if these features would make for more favourable image quality at all!

Thanks

Tom

Not sure of the specs but i wouldn't want one without an EVF, viewing the LCD in bright sun can be a pain but my history is with view finders so it could be different for you, any way hope you enjoy it.

The image quality is going to be identical, and if you really want that front facing LCD I guess it'll be good for you. I would opt for the GX80 though, for the better build and evf alone. I like small cameras but I don't exactly need them to be tiny compacts. It's personal preference. No evf would irritate the hell out of most, but if you're comfortable only using the LCD to compose it'll do the job.
