panasonic HC-V250 SD card query

hope this is ok as its not a dslr

my wife bought a new one sans SD card and i put my 8Gb card in to let her get used to the cam

there are some good bargains just now on 8Gb 30Mb/sec under a £5'er...Ultra make..CLASS 10
should i buy some of these or a biggie for her
i cant find out how much an 8Gb would hold at max resolution..

any help gratefully recieved

Sandisk Ultra are 30MB/s or 240Mb/s, not 30 Mb/s.

The camcorder records AVCHD at 28Mb/s. So the cards are easily fast enough.

8GB = 64 Gb = 64000 Mb.

64000/28 is approx 2200 secs which is approx. 35 mins
