Just as a tryout really for my Panasonic G9ii with the100-300mm lens
the first photo to show how far away the target roof (furthest away)was with my pana DC-TZ95 @25mm. not for clarity or anything just distance

Then I put the lens 100-300mm on a tripod took the shot, cropped in to get this. Also a little editing as well

quite pleased with the result, the question I am asking myself is do I actually need a 100-400mm MFT lens ?

Quite often no.

The 100-300 is very light, short and easy to use, and as long as you don't put a filter on it, sharp.

If you often want to crop to a small area on the frame, or the subject is small (ie moon shots or birds) then it is worth having.

I use the 100-400 quite a lot, but I don't carry it with me just in case, just when I have planned to use it, the 100-300 is OK most of the time.

I assume your 100-300 is a Mk 2
