Paint Shop Pro 2018 slow loading times

Evening all. Being a bit of a cheapstake, about a month ago I downloaded the latest version of this software and paid for it by credit card and it installed just fine on my Windows 10 PC (SSD drive, 16 Gb ram and an i7 processor) thus replaced my former X2 software and thus I felt all new and modern. But, then in the past week I've noticed it takes aaaaaages to load up (over a minute, I've experienced faster load up times from tape onto my old Sinclair Spectrum!) and then it runs slow and sluggish and it takes a while to exit upon pressing the X button. Like I said, I use an SSD drive and all my other programs works just fine, just this PSP18 and I've uninstalled and then reinstalled it but still the same issue. In the end I gave up and reverted back to PSPX2 where that works just fine.

I have emailed Corel but while I'm waiting on a reply, I'm wondering if anyone on this fine forum are experiencing the same issue.
