So, i have a lot of painting to do in the coming weeks, both inside and outside my house, my question is...

Is the Paint runner pro any good?
Does anyone have experience of using one?
It looks fantastic early in the morning when i'm half asleep on Teleshopping tv, but will it be £29.99 down the drain?

This is it for anyone doesn't know.

I've not used one, but IMO it's just another gimmick that will probably add more problems than it addresses.

You really can't beat a good quality brush and roller and some basic skills.

To see what works well, visit a trade counter at any builders' merchant that sells decorating products - pretty certain you won't see any gimmicks like the gadget shown above.

As Trevor said, get a good quality set of proper tools and save yourself 30 quid. Make sure you get good paint too - chances are that you'll save more time by needing fewer coats and that the finish will be better and more long lasting.

There are a few opinions on there.

I have never used one and would not bother. The DIY world is full of con men's gimmicks designed to make folk think there are easy ways to make tedious jobs a dawdle. Short cuts are usually a short cut to a mess.
Good brushes and good paint then just resign yourself to working at nice relaxed pace with plenty coffee breaks.

Get yourself a 12" roller (not a 9 there's a world of difference :) ), a paint scuttle and a pole. All of that will cost less than 30 quid and save you hours.

I just Googled Paint Runner Pro and it looks like a cross between a particularly naff roller and the paint pads they tried to flog in the 80s :)

As already said, no, don't waste your money.
If you are doing a lot of walls get a decent 12" roller frame like this -

with a couple of covers -

and a pole -

A couple of brushes like these -

and a kettle -

A mini roller might be useful too
A 12" roller so so much easier to use as pressure is applied evenly, leaving fewer tram lines. You can wash out covers in the washing machine, though many people bin them given the cost..
