Ouch!
I remember seeing these in Italy in the sixties. One lady I met had a huge scar on her lip where the poison had emerged somehow!!! The doctor had to cut open the lip to drain the fluid. I have no idea how that was possible from a sting on the feet.

Good old Weevers, came across these on occasion when I was Cockling in Kent.

Trod on one of these many years ago at Charlestown harbour in Cornwall, while on holiday with a friends family.

His Dad was not too happy to spend the afternoon in the local A&E with me !

Hurt like bu88ery!!

We have then in Kent. I swim every day. Like most people who do, I wear swim shoes.

Tbh, we're more worried about jelly fish ATM.

These are a lot more common than people think. My youngest lad stood on one about thirty five years ago (he's thirty nine now) and still remembers it well. :runaway:

As I remember the water was very shallow - just glad I didn't fall over and sit on the thing!!
