Over sharpening when exporting

When I export images from Lightroom 4 to Photoshop elements they are looking really over sharpened.

Any ideas?

Do you mean edit in photoshop or export then open in photoshop? If it's export then have you got any output sharpen applied (in the export box options).

Which elements do you have, ideally they need to be compatable camera raw versions for best results.

What do you have in your preferences for external editing? (Edit, preferences, external editing)

I have file format as psd, colour space prophoto rgb, 16 bit, 240 res
I find this works well for photoshop

The weird thing is it doesn't happen every time just with this one collection
