Outlines

Heres a question for all you PS pros.
My boss paints alot of watercolours, he has loads of photos he uses as reference. He asked me if there was any way he could print out a vey faint outline of the photos to save him time sketching each one out. He dosent need too much detail, and it needs to be fine lined, so it dosent look like painting by numbers. I gave him a copy of Ps elements 2 to use, does anyone know any filters/ setting to use.

This works in PS7 - sorry don't know about Elements:
Open Image
Ctrl+J to copy the background
Create new layer & fill with white
Drag the background copy to the top of the layer list
Filter->Stylise->Find Edges
Reduce the background copy opacity to the level required.
