Out of a Job What Next?

Hi all,

Just been told i am out of a job. I work in IT as a Support Person. Not sure what route to take next as there is not much IT work around at the minute in the Midlands area. Not sure if to try and get a Job in IT again ot try something new.

Yes that's bad news at any time Chris, but always seams a little worse at Christmas time.

Let's hope you find something new soon.
 
Just wonder if its worth me in the spare time for looking for work to maybe stat a photography course or some kind of training. Can anyone recommend anything that does not brake the bank.

Why not look to what services / courses are available free due to being out of work, perhaps there are council run training course available?
 
Sorry to hear about the loss of your job, whilst all training is worthwhile you should have a goal in mind, find a need, fill a need .

Get some training in a wanted industry, whilst photography may be a hobby you can turn into a job it's not one i'd want to start doing if I had no other income.
 
Sorry to hear that, but don't wait around, start looking and while you're looking start learning something new to add to your skill set. All the best in finding another job.
 
That's funny, my dad was just telling me that there's jobs going at the local crematorium.
 
Good luck, was made redundant recently, but struck lucky and landed another job quickly. I'm in the banking sector though, so it might happen again......
 
Many Thanks for all the good comments.

Have been looking for jobs every day etc in papers, websites etc, CV is upto date and have applied for a few allready.
