Hi all
I’m thinking of getting the weekend ticket for the British touring car championship at Oulton park on the 4th/ 5th of June

This is my first time at the event--- so has anybody been who can tell me what happens there on the Saturday before the racing on the Sunday.

Are the public allowed into the pits on any of the days ??? [Hoping to get some close ups of cars and drivers]

And is the Saturday worth the trip or just go on the Sunday [race day]

Any information or advice would be helpful and appreciated
Thanks in advance
Dave

There are practise and qualifying sessions on the Saturday, plus a couple of support races.

Public are allowed in the paddock, but not in the pits itself apart from the pitwalk on Sunday.

However, if you hang around the back of the pit garages (in the paddock) you'll see plenty of drivers.

Both days have their merits.

Cheers for that - - - may go on both days then - - fingers crossed for some nice weather.

Regards
Dave

We've been coming down to this for years, it often is not so nice on saturday weather wise but have good fortune on the Sundays, Saturdays is a good day for pit work as it's not so busy and guys/gals will chat and pose if not working under pressure, some good places for action shots too around the circuit.

Note to self, must book hotel for this year. Hotels and tickets booked woo hoo.
