Orwell bridge question

Hi,
I would like to do some long exposure daytime shots here and wondered whether there is any safe access underneath the bridge? Would like to get some angled shots or bridge and sky! Cheers.

There is indeed Duncan.

The road is called 'The Strand', and it passes right under the bridge. There's a couple of parking laybys, close to the bridge.

The road can flood when there's a very high tide.

Coming from Norwich down the A140, go right through to the A14, and head East towards Ipswich and Felixstowe.

Leave the A14 at the Wherstead Interchange, and turn left towards Ipswich. Down the hill to the roundabout, and turn right, passing the Oyster Reach pub on the right, and Fox's Marina on the left.

Just go straight on for about a half mile, and you will pass under the bridge. Parking a little way along on the left.

You can also get close to the bridge from nacton shores

If you want to get very close, follow Dave's directions above then turn right towards Suffolk Food Hall, park in their car park and walk across the field to the base of the bridge. That's where I took this one...

yup as others have said you can get right underneath, at least on the west side.

which reminds me i have a (really old) film i need to develop from there.
