Took the plunge £170 ish less in my bank account and ordered the Orbis ring flash and mounting arm.

Cant wait to try it out. hopefully be with me by the end of the week. hopefully some sun might shine through!

For some reason this unit appealed to me over the rayflash. Maybe as its 1 unit for all flash, body, lens combo. Its adjustable on the arm for macro stuff (having ring dlash closer to the end of the lens) and just looks a bit more flexible bit of kit.

Shouldn't have bought the mounting arm, it's just two of the L-brackets I sell screwed together with two of the thumbscrews, but for a lot more ££....

Curiously i didnt see them on your thread. How much Graham? Did you get my payment this morning? I can always send them back as they have a 14 day money back gurantee.

Just had a txt from the wife that it arrived this morning, not bad for less than 24Hr turn around.

Expect a few sample shots of the cats mainly or the wife if she lets me....

No need to have a go with mine then now , I'm sure that you'll find it quite good . I've still not got my camera back from repairs ( quoted up to 6 weeks .) . So no fun for me yet with mine :'( .

I couldnt resist and i am moving my portraiture to strobist stuff as a bit more portable and cheaper.

1 test shot...
