Would like to know your opinion please on printing services from Boots

Often see them advertising offers and courtesy of my daughter I can get a staff discount of approx 22% so fairly keen to give them a go

Thanks in anticipation

Rich

We use them for pics for the kids albums etc. the 1hr service is convenient when Mrs goes into town shopping.
I find the colours are much better/more accurate than our local Max Spielmann. Tried them both a few times.

I took advantage of the free prints to see what they were like. Colours were fine for me, but they cropped into them a wee bit. I asked them online about it and they gave me free credits for the same amount; cropped into the second lot too despite saying "what you see in the editor window is what you get."

Awful unfortunately.

Definitely a huge +1 for DSCL. Especially on their matt lustre paper.

I find boots to be ok, if I need something in a hurry I tend to go to asda much as I loath the company I really like the quality of prints they deliver. If I'm more organised it is always DSCL for prints and CEWE for photo books via who ever has the best offer on at the time.

I doubt they will come cheaper or better than DSCL

Cheaper than DSCL if your only buying a small number, as if you go into a boots store to get your small prints you don't pay the £3.99 postage that DSCL charge.

I've found boots to be the best of the high street stores, and max speilman to be by far the worst.

Don't forget to build in your mileage costs for using your car and the possibility of paying to park :D

I have to confess I just made a small order from Jessops because I ran out of time for postage. I will still have to order some more bigger prints a little later, so no saving on postage. Paying for parking is a bit extreme measure unless you are unlucky enough to live in central London
