Ok. I'm going to fully jump into weddings this year and my wife will be my second shooter.

I'll be shooting with a D700 and 70-200, she'll be shooting a D700 with our 24-70.

Ok. I love the 70-200, but I like shooting wide as well, so I'd like a prime to use for these that I can switch out quickly.

I currently have a 28mm 2.8, but not sure if that's fast enough for me. My thoughts are on the 24mm 1.4 or a 50mm 1.4 (not sure if the 50 is wide enough for my tastes). BUT, if I did decide on a 24mm 1.4, I think I'd be better off just getting another 24-70. Ugh.

I think I should just use the 28mm 2.8 and save myself a bit of money. :D

Thoughts?

I have the 28-70mm and 70-200 for most shots. If shooting in low light, such as a church, I switch to 50mm 1.4 85mm 1.4 and for wide shots a Sigma 20mm 1.8 (this is properly wide on a full frame like your D700)

Agreed on the 17-35..... Amazing lens but expensive.

Get the 28mm and just bump the ISO up.... The '700 will handle it no worries
