Should a photography portfolio homepage show full size images or a grid style layout instead?

Hi all,

Just wondered if I could ask some advice from people in the know.

In the general consensus, is it better for a homepage to show images bigger/more full screen and maybe on some kind of caousel/scrolling slideshow, or, alternatively, lots of images to a page as mine is now? I'm just not sure as to whether my images need to be shown bigger or whether they are ok at the size they are?

Thanks in advance,

Mike (y)

I`m not a fan of scrolling down a lot, so going against the grain and favouring a kind of grid (albums maybe) layout, to click into.

I really dislike slideshows etc. Yours is fast, responsive and simple to navigate. You click an image and it gets big, click to the side and you move on/back, click the image and you go back. Nice and easy.

But, on a super wide screen monitor the amount of images showing are a little overwhelming at first, but you quickly get used to it and there's probably not so much scrolling involved. I like it as it is.

Thank you for the detailed feedback mate, really appreciate it (y)

Np at all. I had a look on a regular 28" monitor and it looks great. As said it is a bit "whoa" on the super widescreen, but it scales well and you quickly adjust. It's the same with many other websites on the UW monitor, although I find many others don't scale so well and start enlarging text considerably. The speed of yours is definitely most welcome and a big factor these days I reckon.

I can't go against the flow of opinion here - leave it as it is.

As an aside, the pictures are fabulous (y)
