opening canon 5d mkII raw files

can anyone help? after upgrading my 5d to a mkII I can't open the files thru Bridge.

(Mac G5 power pc photoshop CS4)

Is it just Bridge or arn't you able to open them up in PS either?
What bit version are you running?

Yes as said you need to update ACR (camera raw) to the latest version.

hi guys

downloaded acr 5.6 for mac... still no luck

the latest update (6.1) is only for ps cs5

any more clues fellas? I navigate to my files thru Bridge and I'm not seeing the image thumbnails (just generic files with their names)

How did you update the ACR v5.6 plugin?

If I remember rightly I had to upgrade to Photoshop CS4 for it to work with the MKII raw file.

The OP has CS4.

If you go to the help menu you should have an update option there, failing that download and install it manually (instructions are on the website with the updates)
