I must say I am really looking forward to seeing my latest film developed, I have been going out to get some really nice colourful shots, trees full of ripe apples, autumn flowers, even an American car show with some lovely candy coloured cars, at a car show, now I have just found out I put the black and white film in the Nikon and a colour film in my Olympus, which I left at home, going to be some interesting shots HAHA

I know this is the F&C section BUT maybe this is an opportunity to play at colourising B&W shots in PP in the same way people did it with water colours before colour films were common.

Do you do scans, or get lab scans, of your negs? Mono lab scans can be (or even ought to be) tonally flat - which gives scope for attacking them with curves etc in (eg) Photoshop.

You might surprise yourself by the potential in some of your frames. And get to feel lucky. :-)

Yes I get the best quality scans, so hopefully I may be surprised, we will see ;)

I think most have done similar, or forgotten what film/speed a camera has in it.
We always put a cutout piece of the film box in the flask shoe, or a label in a folded piece of plastic, and we also have coloured key tags with snap on clips attached, each colour represents one of the most common films we use, which we clip onto the camera or its case.

Wasn't a problem when I used a lot of film, was much younger then and didn't forget :)

Hope you are pleasantly surprised

Less of a problem for me as I only shoot colour and the only problem I sometimes have is:- in taking ages to finish up a roll of film and forgetting what film is in the camera e.g. kodak 100 iso gold or Agfa vista etc so what I do is leave the empty film box where I can see it everyday.
