Yes
Just realized i've been working in 72 pixels per inch, my prints have just been sent off for printing at 8x12, am i ******?

Well they won't be the clearest you've ever seenm would be one way of putting it.

Sorry!

would it be absolutley b******s results? or would it be all blotchy and pixelated?

Bolloxed would be another way of putting it.:bang: :shake:

How many pixels across are the pictures and who is printing them?

If the picture has enough resolution most normal bonusprint etc type printers will ignore any file settings (like that 72 figure). If you upload a 72 x 8 = 576 pixel by 72 x 12 = 864 pixel picture to be printed at 8 x 12 inches then it will look blocky. The printer will normally warn you if there is not enough detail for the print size you request.

Remember space invaders....

Deja vu, Robert!!! ;) :D

pixel dimensions
width: 2304 pixels
height: 3456 pixels

document size
width: 32 inches
height: 48 inches
resolution 72 pixels/inch

straight from the photoshop file, snappy snaps are printing them.

That's an 8mp image, you should be fine with that

Yes - remember your 72ppi res is at your original file size - by the time this is compressed to the size of print you're having there's pixels a plenty there for good resolution.

Panic over?! :)

Buuuhhh! I was just getting warmed up.

... still a happy ending

lol

The whole resolution thing can get very confusing  What Witch said is a good summary though!

I work for Snappy Snaps in Lisburn :) That would be more than enough for a 12X8 tbh :)
