I am nervous but looking forward to it!! I have been out practising with my sister and I know I can do it on my own now but I am stil nervous! I managed to reverse into a bay using a Artic Lorry yesterday which was great :D:D

(on about driving test)

Good luck Matt

Best of luck Matt. Don't put too much pressure on yourself, it's not life and death.

When I did my bike test, I was an absolute nervous wreck and I was paranoid about doing something daft. I rode to the test centre with my instructor and another pupil. This other guy was über chilled out, it was driving me mad! Whilst waiting to be called out (I was going the be tested second so had an agonising wait) I asked the guy how come he was so relaxed. He gave me a super smug look and said he was a armed response police officer, trained for stressful situations so this was a piece of cake. 100 yards into his test he went to pieces, jumped a red light at a pedestrian crossing nearly wiping out a pensioner in the process.

After he returned to the test centre in pieces, I almost resigned myself to not passing, relaxed and as a result rode nearly perfectly passing with one minor (arguable) mark on my test sheet.

Yeah, I am not arrogant or big headed about it. I am bricking it but I know i am capable of doing it. I just need to stay calm! My sister says I am doing really welll to, so that makes me a bit more comfortable but not so comfortable I am practically certain I am going pass.

Does that make sense

Hope it goes well for you Matt. My son had his test last month, but unfortunately failed. He was coming up to a Y junction to turn right on a country lane, but some stupid woman came round the bend cutting the corner and drove into the central reservation area my son was driving into to turn right. He swerved to miss her and his nearside wheel went over the kerb onto the mud. Hardly his fault, but I suppose the way the examiner saw it, if it had happened in town he'd have mounted the pavement. I had a similar thing on my first test. Hopefully you won't have any dimwits on the road to spoil it for you.

Hey Matt

Good Luck  Just take it easy, make a few jokes with the examiner and just keep cool! Also remember one thing! Look in your mirrors!

Just remember, once you pass you (hopefully :P ) never have to go through it again!

Also you said you reversed into a bay with an arctic truck - did you actually get to drive an arctic truck?! or there was one in the bay you were reversing into?

Regards, James

Good Luck!
Relax and try to treat it as you would any driving lesson.
I managed to put a back wheel on kerb during my test..Was reversing round corner, but the examiner had chosen a road covered in leaves and the kerb couldnt be seen at all...I simply put the car into position again-and repeated the excersize succesfully.
didnt get marked down for it.. (Daft sod shoulda realised would be tricky for a learner when the kerbs are under several inches of leaves.)
<-Glad i took my test aeons ago when if you could reverse park, perform emergency stop, and recognize 3 road signs..you passed :D
Tried a mock theory test for a giggle recently-and erm ...Failed.. :'(

Keep you happy :p

Dear lord Jordie, you have far too much time on your hands

Good luck Matt, hope your examiner isn't as much of a hardcase as mine was! Just try to avoid silly little mistakes
