I used a3prints.co.uk to get the below image printed and I was really happy with there service, fast and good packaging - however it was only when I come to order some more tonight that I wondered where the prints they have for sale come from so looked in the terms and conditions and found this - 4) Anyone who uploads an image / file to this site and does not accept these terms and conditions by the drop down menu on the upload form is deemed to have given their permission for us to use the image / file for whatever purpose we see fit, Including selling or giving to third parties.

Now its my own fault for not looking hard enough, but I don't really expect to have to when I am ordering prints so just wanted to post to say be careful!

So, if you don't accept the terms and conditions they're going to apply condition 4 of the conditions you didn't accept ?

Im going to be completely honest, I cant remember if I did or didnt as the first print was a few months ago - just seems very odd to me to have a condition like that hidden away regardless of how they are written (Certainly not one I would expect).

Lesson learnt from now on, just thought I should point it out

Thanks for passing that on. It does seem like a very odd condition to have hidden away and I wouldn't have expected that either.

Hmm..that's really underhand and shark like.:eek: Thanks for the warning. I will check from now on.

I've had a look at the T&Cs. My understanding of the wording is that if you upload a file to their site, but then choose not to accept their T&Cs during the final part of the ordering process, then they are claiming that they can use your picture for whatever purpose they wish.

In other words, if you put your picture on their website, but then don't order anything from them, then they think they can use your picture.

This seems like a brilliant plan and so I have written a similar T&C which says that anyone walking down the path to my house but not ringing the doorbell has "agreed" to give me the contents of their wallet. I'm now planning to nick the postman's wallet tomorrow morning confident in the knowledge that my brilliant T&C means that the court will find in my favour. Wish me luck!
