dear TP patrons

I've been asked to photograph an event later in the year.
previously I've sold photos through a photobox pro gallery after the event.
This saved on selling and printing on the night as the shots needed selecting and processing extensively (fight photos)

however, this is more of an adult prom format.
To capitalise on sales on the day I would like to sell online.
Printing at the event and then providing them to drunk student types is a recipe for disaster I think

My ideal gallery would allow customers to purchase a voucher (which can be sold and redeemed on my galleries. therefore I can sell items on the night which are later redeemed.
customers then receive a decently printed photo without the need for endless logistics on my part.
also having spend money on the voucher they are directed to the gallery and may purchase further.

Also ideally the customer would receive a 500px watermarked digital copy of the photo upon ordering for their social website needs.

Are there any galleries that I can host myself which offer this level of functionality?
I can do it all manually but that opens the process up to human error (on my part of course) and a delay to the customer due to logistical demands.

can anyone suggest a a hosted or installable gallery package that can offer this?

many thanks in advance.

photocart 6 does everthing you are looking for - and more....

You can sell vouchers - allow auto downloads - and they can also buy with paypal too...

You host on your own space - its a one off purchase - about $350. Do a search - you'll find it's the mutts nuts! ;-)

had a look and it looks very good!
however, it doesn't link to any labs. therefore it doesn't decrease my logistics of many many many photos!
cheers for the advice, my search continues

I could argue that if you have a direct output it would require you to upload full size files which have been balanced and retouched and are ready to print. It depends on the percentage of sales - if only 20% buy you're doing a lot of work on files that won't be bought....

good point. I don't think they'll need much work as they're static group photos with fixed flash lighting.
however, it's worth a thought.
however if a group photos is 4-8 or perhaps more people the workload per order drops as 20% of customers might buy but it might entail 90% of the photos

will have think. the demo of that site was rather good!
