Apologies for the slightly spammy nature of this post but I wanted to share a personal milestone.

Today is my photoblog's first birthday. The first entry was actually on the 16th October 2005 but it was just a test. The first proper photo was posted the following day.

You can see the full-size year one montage here (click to enlarge) and post comments below it:

Over the last year I've posted 302 photographs, an average of 5.8 pictures per week which I'd say is about right since I've taken the decision not to post on Sundays.

I must admit that when I started, I had doubts as to whether I'd be able to keep up the daily routine for a few months, let alone a year, but it's turned out to be a very enjoyable experience and I hope to keep it going for many more years.

Big, big thank you to everyone who has looked at my photos and everyone who has commented over the past year. I've met a lot of new people and made some good friends along the way.

Now, where's the champagne? :)

Hey congrats dude :) Did you have a program assemble that image or did you painstakingly make it yourself? :)

thats pretty good going Jamie,

:plusone: :p

seriously though

good blog.:D

A bit of both.

I tried to find an application that'd do it but couldn't track down anything suitable so I wrote a PHP script to display the thumbnails in rows, then took a few screen grabs and stuck them together in PS.

Well done Jamie - that's quite a serious commitment you made there.

Great commitment mate! Here's to another year. :)

Just to hijack...I've also completed one year of photoblogging which was started with the encouragement of Jamey. I'd thought it'd last a couple of months.

Well done to you too Milou. I'd fall by the wayside at the first hint of rain. ;)

Cracking stuff there too, Milou!
Is your gallery based around a software install, or custom made? I'm interested in making my own photoblog. I have my own webspace.. But don't have the first clue when it comes to anything web related.

Well Done on the milestone - some seriously good work in that blog, am ashamed to say I dont visit as much as I should (but always impressed when I do)

Like the collage shot in itself, looks great
