Well Im as new as they come. Just been a p&s pic taker on my 4 yrd old camera that has now died.

Girlfriend has bought me a Canon G9 for xmas (unles I can prise it off her earlier) as I want to get into 'manual mode'. Im also armed with a couple of basic digital photography books and have already started reading this site for tips. Steep learning curve for me I think.

Now its not a DSLR so go easy on me lol

Been reading some of the tutorials on here and they are excellent, especially things like the rule of thirds. Or the rule of turds I think someone else passed on lol.
