I have recently changes the inlet diaphragm on my siamp inlet valve on my toilet cistern. I have noticed the top inlet washer is getting perished so intend changing that also BUT under that rubber washer there is a small plastic component with a number on it , in this photo it's number 4 but mine is number 10 does anyone know what this number represents?

It's probably a tracability number relating to the machine/mould and material the component was made from/with.

Possibly there’s high and low pressure adaptors for the inlet, depending if it’s fed from a tank in the loft (low) or directly from the mains (high).

I'd go with Gav's explanation, most likely a mould number.

These are the parts in question. They appear identical in size but with different numbers. I have scoured the internet and every installation manual l can find.

If the holes are different sizes then they’ll definitely be high or low pressure adaptors….larger hole one will be for low pressure. Otherwise, no idea!

Not impressed by Siamp fill valves.... the toilet at my mum's house has one..... Worked alright for a couple of years then the inlet flow slowed to a trickle..... a replacement diaphragm cured that but now after working OK for 6 months it's reaching the overflow height before stopping....

That problem is usually caused by hard water caking up the diaphragm (or the inlet) with limescale. Not much you can do about that longterm except put in a water softener device. You could try checking the inlet seat, the bit where the diaphragm sits against when it shuts off. Sometimes they get clogged up with scale or rubbish and that reduces the fill time.

Lucky enough to live in an area where we don't have hard water, limescale is not the problem...
