Don't worry, it's not spam. The one easy step was backwards . . . I just happened to move my chair back a couple of feet from my desk while my desktop was showing a slideshow of my images. I obviously knew that sharpness of image depends on viewing distance, but I still never got in the habit of moving more than 18 inches away from my 21" screen. When I get back a bit further, it's amazing how much happier I am with them . . .

Perhaps you need glasses?. I spent ages being more than a bit unhappy with the prints I was getting a few years ago, a trip to the opticians for some reading glasses and the prints were much better :)

Hehe! Already got glasses, new prescription a few months ago (although I do find that cleaning them once in a while helps). It's just that the standard advice is to be at least the diagonal distance away from the image, and I'm rarely that far away with my posture.

My images also look better from further away.... about 200 yards in my case.

When I've got one up on screen I usually go outside and look at it again through the window. Always looks much better from a bit further away for some reason.
