Well Ive had a fantastic time in Venice, so expect lots of pics of the masquerade soon.
Unfortunately, though I should be typing this from home now, the Italian security at the airport decided to strike today, so held up all the flights.
Im now sat in Amsterdam airport, having missed my connecting flight to Birmingham.
Im tired, Im dirty, I have no luggage .... but hey, I have half hours internet before I go look for somewhere to get my head down for tonight!
Wish me luck guys!
 
I hope the return issues don't marr the experience at all! Look forward to seeing the pics - long time since I've been there......

There's always the casino at Schipol. ;) Or the art gallery. Half empty international airports could potentially be pretty good setting for shots. :lol: Think positive, Glo!

Oh no! Hopefully you will have arrived safely back in the UK by now. There's nothing worse than feeling tired, dirty and being delayed, when all you want to do is go home :hug:

Had a brilliant time up until yesterday.
Just got back 'for real' and my first stop is here ... gosh, think that sounds rather sad!
Well actually first stop was a cuppa & then to brush my teeth.
If any pics turn up on t'internet of some down & out, trampy, hysterical -looking woman hanging around Amsterdam airport after dark ... I shall thoroughly deny any connection to yours truly.:suspect:
Gonna have a nosey around to see what youve all been up to before I start going attempting to go through the CF cards.

You'll notice Matty has doubled his efforts to give everyone new forum titles! Check out Woodsy and Paul Boy, just for a couple of examples :lol: :lol: Oh and Bod is back so things are getting fixed now :D

Well..........

Last Saturday night Beverley, Cheryl and I went to see Chris (Catdaddy) play with his band Skinny Molly in Farnborough. We had all pre booked our tickets in advance for £10 each but we booked them seperately, ie Cheryl booked hers and I booked 2 for Beverley and I. When we arrived I said to the (very strange:nuts: ) guy on the door that I had 2 tickets booked, he looked at the 3 of us, said "2 tickets?" err oh ok that's £10 for you and £5 for each of them please :cuckoo: . We tried for ages to work out his logic (seeing as the tickets were £10 per person, end of!) and (after a beer or two) decided that he must have thought that Beverley and Cheryl were my daughters so let them in for half price :lol: For the rest of the evening I was "Daddy" you see. Anyway, it appears that The Dinkle Spotter PM'd Matty as soon as she got home to ask him to change my title :lol: .
So that's how Grendel became The Daddy :D

I think a combination of all 3 tbh Glo..... Beverley and Cheryl's youthful charm (ahem ;) ), my haggered looks and the doorman being totally nuts :nuts:

I wondered why your title had changed, I even did a search on the forum thinking I had missed the birth of a child and hand't congratulated you. Not realising you had adopted to lovely daughters.

Unfortunately I didn't take my camera. The light was SOOO bad on the night that I doubt I'd have got any shots anyway. Chris said after the gig that is was the worst lighting of any night they'd played :(
