First order of the day will be to spray paint it black

lushious, just 11 more days until i order mine. its so exiting :D:D:D

You had me confused for a few seconds there, what with that 18-55 perched stage center.

Wheres the white stuff?!

I still have'nt got a body to put it on yet

I know everyone says the lens is more important than the camera, but i do feel this is a bit extreme.

Both 300mm Canon Ls are superb IMHO. Uber sharp as you put it:D

Enjoy :woot:

makes a good doorstop then:)

Hey, congratulations on your new toy. I see you are a big fan of the 300/4!

dont want to go off topic but thats one of the best quotes ive ever read . Your signature that is :D

I was a solid user of the sigma 120-300 until I had to send it away to be fixed... i used a 300 f4L for one day in its place.... thats all I needed... I sold the sigma when it came back... got the 300 2.8L and never looked back..

The 300f4 is easy hand held.. lighter than the sigma 70-200 and about same size so very nice..

This is the one game I did with the 300 f4 .. I think its an amazing lens

Nikon make white lenses too, y'know ;) You could have saved a lot of hassle and just bought one of those

Very similar to my tale - I used to have the Sigma 120-300 f/2.8 and replaced it with the Nikkor 300mm f/4 and never looked back.

Although that was because the bloody thing was too heavy, optically its tip-top!

Have you seen the colour of pigeons' dropping? Canon provide out of the box camouflage :p

Send it back and fast it dont say Nikon so its junk mail....anyhow hope you enjoy using the junk

I`ll be interested to see the shots taken with the 300 is. Definitely one on my list, I had a play with one in Parks, very nice indeed!!

I have the 300 F/4L without IS, its a little long in the tooth now but an amazing lens, I'd love to have the IS version one day - congrats on your new lens, I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with it.
