The Olympus Zuiko Digital 35mm f/3.5 Lens would a macro lens like that be good for taking pictures like water drops and other things like that?

Yep indeed. For the price it is an excellent macro lens, yielding 1:1 macro shots. It is also very good for portrait work.

The Zuiko 50mm is far better though, but also more expensive.

This shot was taken today with the Zuiko 35mm:

Shout if I can help further.

That looks close enugh for me, what difference would the 50mm be and how much more expensive?

Just found sum prices for that 50mm, abit to much for me, so the 35mm would be a good macro lens? Only a beginner here!

As I said, yes indeed the 35mm is an excellent macro lens for the price. I have taken many close up insect and wasp shots with it, and the results are imho quite good.

As for the 50mm... well this is what Olympus class as semi-pro glass as opposed to 'kit' glass. It is probably twice the price if not more than the 35mm equivalent, but does yield much crisper and brighter images. The macro is only 1:2 whereas the 35mm is 1:1, but it is f2 and fast!

Zuiko glass IS quality glass... that's a fact and I doubt many here would disagree with me on that.

Okie dokie, well for now ill go for the 35mm and have some fun! Thanks alot for showing me the picture!
