Hi,

My friend has an old Olympus Trip 35 film camera. He's not used it due to it not having the correct film and he's never got round to buying any.

His birthday is coming up soon so I wanted to get him some film for the camera.

However, I'm not sure what type of film I'll need for the Olympus Trip 35.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks.

as to specific types of 35mm film - ask 10 film photographers and you'll probably get 10 different recommendations.

Personally, I'd get a couple of rolls of ektar 100 (vivid colours) or porta 400 (for something faster iso and slightly more natural colour), and for B&W maybe a couple of rolls of XP2 400 - which can still be processed on the high-street shops (unlike "traditional" B&W which is more the province of home processing or "pro" labs these days)
