Just bought one of these and it has a Kodak KA625 battery. Is it a suitable battery or do I need to make any adjustments to use in automatic mode? It seems to be giving a reasonable reading based on Sunny 16.

Moving from a mercury battery to an alkaline battery will give a change in exposure but that will be well within the latitude of film. I have never had an exposure that is significantly out when using the wrong voltage battery. Really, you need to try it an see.

You can buy a wein cell battery that is a perfect match to replace the original mercury battery. These cost about £5 or so and only last a few months in use.

I bought an MR-9 battery adapter from the small battery company which takes standard button cells and converts them to the lower (correct) voltage. Mine cost just under £30 from them and is branded "Kanto camera". You can get the same thing on eBay for about £22 but they ship from abroad.

I bought two adapters for about £11 from a chinese seller on ebay a while back.
