these days I shoot olympus ,mainly due to the fact its lighter to carry and still gives acceptable results . my main gear for my wildlife interests is a omd1-mkiii and a olympus 100-400 +1.4tc a rig which covers 90% of my needs . I also have a Yi 42.5mm f1.8 prime with inbuilt macro .. for low light city walk around .
having realised that my big rig is also good for semi macro close ups and any closer ones can be done on the Yi lens I sold my macro lens . which left a gap in usability from 100mm downwards . after a lot of mulling the options and not wanting to be in the change a lens for every situation position I decided on getting a MMF-2 adaptor and getting some older four thirds lenses I then found out they did a little known 18-180 zoom .. it arrived yesterday and having tried it I find it superb ,fairly light .sharp enough for general purpose use and also cheap ..just over a £100 for a decent zoom lens ..
if any other olympus users are stuck for choice and dont want to spend mega bucks on lenses I urge you to look at the four thirds lenses as they are all A/F and work well with a MMF series adaptor
