Hi,
Having read the thread regarding taking DSLR's into the Olympic Park I was a bit nervous about taking my camera up to the test event at the Velodrome today. I needn't have worried as after a brief security check I was ushered into the Velodrome to snap away to my hearts content.
I am sure the test event and the real event will be policed differently and Jo public like me won't get to take shots from the prime photographers spots that have been cordoned off but there was no issues today. Looking around there were plenty of general public with 200 - 300mm telephoto lens's wandering around which was good to see.
Again this was a test event so the security may be different at the real events however it looks promising for this wanting to take there gear up with them.
Here are a few of my shots from this afternoon.....
