Right, got shown to this forum by a friend of mine and decided to register and see how this goes.
I am an amateur photographer who's native languages is NOT english. I live in the north of europe relatively close to the arctic circle but i travel around a lot for work.
Been shooting for a few years and i burned through equipment fast :) I have to try everything :).
I am primarily a Nikon shooter and had a temporary lapse with a 5D Mark2 for a few months but couldn't get my head around it. I went from a D700 to a D7000 and I don't have a huge amount of glass but what i have I consider ok.

Welcome to TP great place to be, hoping it's landscapes you like to shoot ? sounds like you live in just the right location for it ?

Welcome! You went from a D700 to a D7000? isn't that the wrong way round? :)

Hi, yes and no. I am an amateur and the d700 is stellar but i did want video. personally I never too shots that were THAT dependent on full frame. i do very little super ultra wide and the crop sensor gives me longer reach. I decided i would rather go for excellent glass and see about the camera later..

Ah that makes sense, how are you finding the D7000? was considering that as a potential next upgrade

Welcome, Love your shots on Flickr:thumbs:

Love it.. yes at one point or another i was thinking.. damn.. my D700 is gone.. but i think the D7000 is a VERY well made camera and it really does deliver in pretty much all aspects... if coupled with good glass. I tried it with a Kit lens and wow.. what a downer..but once you put some really nice lenses not here (not expensive.. but nice) .. it does deliver and the Autofocus works brilliantly. I would take this camera over a d300(s) ANY day of the week.

Thanks to everyone else for kudos on flickr and the warm welcoming.. i love the friendly atmosphere in the forums...
