Although I have a nice 50" Panasonic LED tv I have been reading about OLED youtube etc and decided to buy a LG 55" ( OTHER MAKES ARE AVAIABLE ) anyway it came a couple of days ago .
I made a couple of adjustment and have to say it is stunning to watch and has far better IQ than I was hoping for and puts the LED in the shade so to speak

I have a 2.1 sound bar for my Panasonic and was going to use it on the LG as some say the sound is not too good but the sound is very good and I wont be using a sound bar

you can adjust the sound to give a bit more treble or bass so you do have some control enough for me.

The picture modes have presets but these can be adjusted so much its beyond belief and way out of my league at £1700 its not cheap and with luck when the Mrs comes back from holiday she wont say its too big as she did when I got the 50" but as OLEDs start at 55" I really had nor choice did I :)

If you like a nice TV and are upgrading do check out Oled and by the way LG appear to make all the panels even the one Sony use.

Great to hear OLED TV is doing well for you. It's definitely THE technology to purchase for newer TV's, it's a step change from LCD displays.

My 55inch Samsung high end LED backlit LCD (this is the correct term, no such thing as LED TV) is coming up to 4 years old now. Still looks great in isolation in my living room. I'm waiting for everything to be readily available before switching, not asking much, only 2 things: Premium UHD certified and OLED technology.

I saw the OLED stuff last x-mas when we bought out 49inch Sammy and it was stunning but the budget just wasn't there.

Saw a few in John Lewis earlier. The picture quality is certainly excellent but I can't justify spending nearly 2 grand on a telly.

Nearly bought the 2017 LG 55 4K from Amazon the other day, down to 1300, was damn cheap for an OLED!

Regret not buying it now...

I'm in the market for a new TV but am struggling to justify the LG OLED price tag. Trouble is I don't think I will be happy with anything else as every time I see the LG it blows me away. Hoping there may be some offers on for Black Friday or Christmas perhaps.

This is the one I have been lusting after - https://www.richersounds.com/lg-oled55b7v.html

Yes gatecrasher3 once you see one it hard to forget it lol

The B7 is the older model I went for the C7 as it was the same price and the newer model so may well have extra tweaks ( Possibly )

Although they are said to be the same just the stand and bezel are different ,
I hope they do come down in price so more people can get them £1700 is a fair bit of cash but does not come close some of my camera gear so I do see it as good value more so with winter just about here

Same here, I've just bought a 50in LG 4K a few months ago, would have loved and OLED but that would have added £1000 to the bill

Is it the OLED55B7V you got? Saw this with over a £1000 off recently, very tempting.

Cheers. I was looking at LG 55" in there yesterday and the label said B7 but was same price. However John Lewis seem to have it even cheaper.

Last time I looked at the LG oled screen it was very jumpy during scenes with fast motion.
I'll be holding off until I can see an improvement in that.
