Hi everyone, just got my first DSLR yesterday. I used to have a Canon T70 back in the eighties and if it weren't for the virtual demise of 35mm I would still be happy with it now. I've had a series of compacts and a Fujifilm bridge camera which were OK but a bit ordinary. Busy reading the manual now - I'm in information overload!

Hi Andy,

Went for a Canon 550D with the standard 18-55 and a Tamron 70-3300. Haven't used it yet, only got it yesterday!

Very good, the 550D is a nice camera.

Now get out there and use it :-).
