Starting the grand clearout, some stuff will go free to a good home (I hope).

1. Lens - I don't know what this fits. Anyone have any idea, and is it worth anything at all or is it gonna be another freebie?

2. Cameras. I'd like to ask if either of these two are worth anything at all? I'm thinking about keeping at least one of them to use though (although I have a few more old cameras in a bag too).
They are a Minolta HI-MATIC & a Kodak Retinette IA
Both feel like they work fine but I haven't put a film through.

Anyway, that's enough for the moment.

Thanks,
Pip

Sadly I don't think any of those are worth very much if anything at all. The Kodak is the only possible exception as they have some collectibility, but they were mass produced in large numbers, so it's not going to be rare...

The lens could be Nikon mount given the focus direction, but it's difficult to tell. A photo of the lens mount itself would help, and the rear lens cap will almost certainly have the mount type as a two letter code stamped on it.

So someone else has an old minolta:). I have a Minolta Hi-Matic 7s which i purchased in Aden in Feb 1967, battered the dealer down to 16 Bahrain dinars for it:lol:

It did take some good pics though:)

Thought as much, but thanks!

The two letter stamp on the rear cap says "PK" and on the rear mount iteslf it says "P/K-A" in red.

Blimey, that camera is older than me then! (But not by as much as I'd like...)

If it is a K-mount and it is a Series 1 Vivitar 70-210 then it may be worth a little something if it is in good condition.

Ooh, thanks to you all for your input, too many of you to thank individually.
Anyone got an idea what the 'little value' may be as I'll put it in the FS forum. It does look to be in tip top condition but without taking some shots you never can tell. I'm saving up for some new glass so every little helps.

I've also been asked by someone on here to sell them the 2x old cameras, I have no idea how much to ask for! (or if I really want to as they were my dads. Hmmm).

No more than about £20 I'd say. I don't think it's a "Series 1" which was Vivitar's "lux" range, and with only an f4.5 max aperture it's not particularly fast, but it'll be reasonably good optically even though it's manual focus.

Are well, you can't put a figure on sentimental value ;) If you're in any doubt I suggest you keep them in case you regret it later!

Oh - and take the 52mm skylight filter off, if it'll fit any of your lenses - that's a tenner in your back pocket right there!
