I ave two lenses from years gone by when i had a film SLR. Can i use these on a digital slr?

The lenses i have if it helps are:

Canon 28-90mm (thats all it says on that one)
Canon zoom lens EF 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 III USM

Sorry for the silly quesions:bonk:

Assuming they both have the same mount, yes. Canon digitals use the EF mount that your 75-300 has.

Just found the rest of the info on the 28-90 it was on the rim under the lens cap

Canon zoom lens EF 28-90mm 1.4-5.6

So i could get a 400d body only and use these two lenses for now and save some money

You can use these lenses, but be aware that the effective focal lengths are x1.6 i.e

44.8-144 (28-90) - Not the widest but quite a good wallkabout range
120-480 (75-300) - Good telephoto range

Thinking about it, I have both these! :)

Thanks for the info i guess all i need to do now is decide which camra to get the 400d or save some more for the 40d
