Thinking of going there this weekend, was wondering what the access is like for sunrise and parking and walking distance etc? tia
 
Park in stud land and about a mile walk ! Flat walk but if wind blowing it will be cold

Here is sun position and time for you for tomorrow at least it gets about 2 minutes later each day

Stupid question is that app saying 8.53 is the best time the sun will hit that spot and not when the sun is just about to rise circa 6:56?

No it was the current position of the sun and moon at time I took screenshot
 
The light orange line is sunrise the blue is moon rise and dark orange is sun set
