Yes
I go to the pub for a couple of hours and you all run off and hide...blimey.

Apparently Roberts was found wandering the streets muttering to himself and giving out port and cigars to the local homeless.

I'm just sitting here enjoying a small port and a large cigar given me by a very well turned out but slightly distressed chap.

I must have looked homeless as I wandered the corridors of this unfamiliar place.

Still, I'm sure I'll get to find my way around.

Do thank Roberts for me.

Im here !
Just

getting windy in Yoikshire

I have to admit to being a little distressed myself, I only popped out to pick up some After 8 mints and when i got back somebody had shuffled the whole bloody shebang, damn poor show i say.

Reminds me of that time at the Maharaja's back in '37.

While we all popped out for a snifter on the veranda, the Memsahib, a bit of a joker since the early days, swapped our rooms around.

I learned something about the Colonel that night, I can tell you.

^^^ I've just splurted my morning mint julip all over the keyboard, dammitt sir, give a chap some warning will you.

seriously for a moment chaps, I actually quite like this setup - keeps all the filmie bits together, plus it might actually encourage one or two of you to actually post somewhere other than the massive "Show us..." thread

Plus, reducing the wear and tear on poor Roberts's Knees has got to be a good thing :)

Oh, I just realised the place has been restructured... I really must get out of here every now and again!! Thats what I get for just using the watched forums function to navigate.

You are right Mark, we really do need to get out more. I do occasionally post a film shot in the digital world but as they tend not to get noticed or comments I don't bother very often. But I will post more in the 'photos from film' forum, just been keeping a few cards close to my masculine chest for entry in the POTY comp.

ah yes the POTY - I have to say, i'm beginning to miss it slightly - it was the only thing that actually FORCED me to shoot something, and now that's not an option either...

What you need to do Is get yourself off to York on the 22nd of Feb and meet up with the handsomest and most talented bunch of filmies in the Cosmos. Grab a camera, a roll of film and a lens take some shots, drink some beer and have some laughs. You know it make sense.

It does make sense... Even though @Andysnap wrote it...

Why not just shoot it any way, we'll all judge you if it makes you feel better :-)

I usually only follow the new posts thing so I didn't notice stuff had been moved...

probably because it used to cost me around £100 a month in props etc. cost me a flaming fortune for the last 18 months I entered... all for some numptie to accuse me of cheating. :puke:

What do you do with props once you've used them?

It's something that bothers me. I can't really afford to buy the stuff I have ideas for, and my house is already full of junk.

Maybe we should have a props for sale or swap thread?

York, camera, drinks, laughs.

there's probably a limited market for a sheet of plasterboard with 2 different render walls created on it... same for a tabletop with no legs that only looks good from one direction. Fortunately I did at least manage to eat most of the Fruitbowl contents, but it was the modelling fees for Bert that really ate the budget...

:D Ahaa, I see.

That means I need to explore the frankly scary depths of my imagination. Oh jeez, I was really hoping not to have to go there.

Mind you, it's probably time I did.

I shall blame you for the results.:)

To be honest I think I enjoyed building the sets and props more than actually taking the photos...

Though if you want to see scary depths of imagination, you should see the entry I made for "so cold", one of the shots from 2011 iirc - it's in my gallery somewhere, and I'll guarantee it's one of the most disturbing "selfies" you'll see...
