Anyone been there? Any tips? I was really hoping my 2x TC would have turned up by now, but its still out of stock so i'll have to do with 150mm. Hopefully that will be enough if I combine it with some ninja stealth to sneak up on the subjects. Im going for the all day trip with visits to both islands, and about 1-1.5 hours on each island.(Shame I can't have longer like).

On thinking back to the visit I did last year, 150mm will be fine for most shots. You'll be amazed at how close to the birds you can physically get. We dropped onto inner farne for an hour or so and you had to be carefull when walking around not to stand on some of the nesting birds.

Its a great trip out though, enjoy.:thumbs:

Thanks Mr THX. Well that puts my mind at reast a bit. I would have hated to go, and find I didn't have enough reach

I've never been scuba diving and I doubt I would have enough time to learn. Its something I wouldn't mind doing though, although maybe in a little warmer waters.
