hi all i would like to experiment with the flash off the camera, i have a yongnuo 585 ex flash and a 5dmk3 , i would love to try some shots with the flash off the camera but i reall dont know what to buy to achieve this any hep please.

I'd just add that once the gear is sorted you need to start to understand how to mix ambient with flash, and learn some basic lighting patterns too for where best to place the light source - loads of info & tutorials online for this, some are even useful lol
