You could do with amending the title to "Off Camera Flash Help".
Not sure why you may need the card, as you will want to have the flashes and equipment (brollies and stands etc) outside of the frame anyway.
As for what umbrellas, that depends upon the "look" or effect you are after.
A shoot through umbrella can be used much closer to the subject, giving you a perceptibly larger light source and therefore much softer light.
A white reflective umbrella is far kinder for portraits than a silver reflective umbrella, although both cannot be as close as the shoot through type, due to the shaft needing to point towards the subject. All three give quite different results

oh and the card cos if i have 2 soft lights giving good light i dont want to have the harsh camera flash over the soft ones. I think thats what i mean

Now I see what you mean. Yes, a good point.
Those umbrellas look like shoot through, even though the description says reflective.

Well I think you need to have a look at this statement because soft light is not always better than hard light. I know plenty of people and have myself used hard light to get some great photos. With your hard light you can modify it by bouncing, diffusion etc but don't rule it out ad it is!

For OCF there is no better resource than strobist have a look through lighting101...

And when you're done with strobist lighting 101 there is also lighting 102 to bring your skills even further.
