Off camera flash cable

Guys

I have a cannon 400d and a Jessops flash unit - I use a very short lead to use the flash gun off camera - I want to set this up on a tripod with umberella as a small portable flash light - what length can you get the connecting cables in and where would I get a long one from?

ahh...okay. The only way to extend one of those (without cutting the neds ends off and putting a new cable in) is to join two of them together

Any idea what cable to use to do this I have a cheap one from fleabay I want to extend.

I always use an optical slave sensor if apropiate that is cover the camera flash gun to lessen the flash.

I've used a 5M extension without any problem

Can I ask where you got the 5m cable from?//

I got a 5m cable off a Hong Kong seller on ebay -seems to work fine and it wasn't expensive.
