Here's an "out there" question for you all.

With my Flickr subscription due to renew in early February and me swearing last year that the massive subscription price hike would be my last time renewing, I'm fully expecting Flickr's price to have gone up again.

I therefore started wondering if you can use a NAS to host your photos instead of Flickr. Is it possible or not and if so, anyone know what's involved please ?

Not sure about NAS. I guess it depends how/what you use Flickr for as everyone uses Flickr differently.

If it’s for online visibility then your own website is an option. It’s not a full replacement for Flickr as Flickr lets users view multiple users photos without leaving the Flickr website. Checking multiple personal websites just isn’t the same.

If it’s for cloud backup then there will be other options available.

If you have the adobe photography plan it comes with adobe portfolio so you could make your own website to keep all of your photos there and just cycle through the new photos on Flickr. Amazon prime comes with cloud backup if you have that.

As above; depends what you’re using Flickr for.
